What is a learning session?

The Fontan Outcomes Network hosts two learning sessions each year, including one in the spring and one in the fall. Learning sessions are valuable opportunities for our learning health network community—patients, parents, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and other care center team members—to come together to build community, learn about the network’s latest work, share learnings, discuss important topics, and outline key actions to take through the next six months. The six month-periods following a learning session are called the action period. Learning sessions are meant to inform and catalyze the work of the action period with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes and quality of life for all individuals with single ventricle heart disease and Fontan circulation.

Who is invited to this learning session?

All individuals with single ventricle circulation and/or their parents/caregivers are invited to register for and attend this learning session. Care center team members, such as providers and researchers, at participating FON care centers are also invited to register for and attend the learning session.

Are you a provider or researcher at a care center that is not yet a member of FON? The network will be accepting applications for additional care centers in the spring of 2023..
