FON Flyers
In order for FON to be transformative for the field, we need to reach as many patients, family members, caregivers, and Care Center team members—across our 31 Care Centers and beyond—as possible. To help facilitate this sharing, we've created FON flyers available at the links below.
One version of the flyer features a pediatric patient and one features an adult patient in order to be inclusive of and reflective of the entire lifespan of our work. These resources outline what the Fontan Outcomes Network is, why our network is needed, and how we operate. You will also find five ways to engage with the network, which outline concrete steps you and others can take to get involved with our network today!
Heart University Webinars
FON and the National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative (NPC-QIC) were invited by Heart University to co-sponsor a yearlong webinar series for global learning and engagement to improve the care of patients with single ventricle physiology. Hosted by Heart University, the “Global Single Ventricle Learning Series” was a six-webinar collaboration between parents, physicians, and various Care Center team members that took place August 2020 through June 2021. Visit our Heart University Webinars page to learn more and view recordings of the webinars, which focused on topics ranging from Hot Topics in Fontan Circulation to Ventricular Assist Devices in Individuals with a Fontan Circulation.
Single Ventricle Patient Day
Since 2019, FON has worked with NPC-QIC to host this event each fall. This session is designed for patients by patients with the intent to connect and empower teens and adults with single ventricle circulation so they feel supported and uplifted, while gaining the tools to take control of their CHD care. For more information, visit the Single Ventricle Patient Day Facebook page or email info@fontanoutcomesnetwork.org.
Learning Sessions
Learning sessions are valuable opportunities for all of our community’s stakeholders—patients, parents, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and other care center team members—to come together to connect, share learnings, discuss important topics, and ultimately push forward our work of improving outcomes and quality of life for all individuals with single ventricle heart disease and Fontan circulation.
FON hosts two learning sessions per year with the NPC-QIC (in the spring and fall). For more information, email info@fontanoutcomesnetwork.org.
